These are the different kinds of peppers and Heirloom tomatoes we are growing this year. We are also trying some Eggplant, Swiss Chard, Spinach and some lettuces as well as a variety of herbs. We will also have Roma tomatoes for your fall Salsa making. We thought we might as well grow the peppers to put in the salsa too. We will also have Tomatillos, they make a great salsa verde, used in Mexican cooking. Get creative and try something new!

Good for salsa and stuffing.

Tabasco
Extremely hot. Sc30,000-50,000
Used for making Louisiana Hot Sauce

Purple Bell Peppers
Sweet colourful addition to salads and dip trays

Red Bell Peppers
Large thick walled, sweet fleshed fruit

Ancho Real
A reddish brown pepper with a sweet hot flavour

Big Banana Pepper

Good for stuffing, salads and stir frying

Very rich, loud and distinctively spicy
One of the most flavourful heirloom.
Originated with the Amish people.

Excellent rich flavour. Pear shape

Very meaty with mild sweet flavour
